What is The New Nobility Project?
We aren't sure where the upper limit of human potential is but we know it will be found at the precipice of the biggest, scariest challenges humans face. There are the few among us who are already living and working there because they simply can't do anything else or anything less - and be fully alive. What an incredible resource! How do they do it? Is there a way more of us can join them? If so, what does that make possible for our future?
Starting in the spring of 2010 The New Nobility Project set out to map the limits of what humans can do when in comes to solving really hard problems in the real world. To do this we must figure out what it takes to identify, locate, engage, cultivate and support the courageously creative people among us who are doing things that matter in the world. Next we will share with our members what we learn about how these people go about it and provide functional templates for others who seek to bring the new to their own domains, giving a solid jump start on the process.
The New Nobility Project will be to the world of human creativity what the National Geographic Society is to the world of nature. The NGS links together armchair explorers interested in glimpsing the mysteries of nature with professional explorers who reveal those mysteries by going where no one dared go before, and then return to share what they discover with the rest of us. NGS does this by organizing and funding audacious expeditions. So will the NNP.
In the months to come expect to see us organize and launch The Noble Citizen Initiative. Once those are up and running we will organize and launch expeditions deep into the dark abysses of finance, politics and healthcare, to name a few. From each we will gather, equip and support The Cadre of domain experts capable of bringing the new to each field and seeing it through its future is secured.
The New Nobility Project and its subsidiaries will be non-profit organizations open to anyone who wants to join and contribute. There will be local chapters and chapters within industries and professions. It is open to citizens from any country. Our newsletter (link to subscribe) will keep members current on all the project's endeavors.
